Chicago has responded to Milwuakee's acquisition of C.C. Sabathia by trading for Oakland ace Rich Harden in a six player deal.  The Cubs get Harden and reliever Chad Gaudin for pitcher Sean Gallagher, outfielders Matt Murton and Eric Patterson, and minor leaguer John Donaldson.

Sitting four games ahead of the Brewers and 3.5 ahead of the Cardinals entering Wednesday, the Cubs made this bold move that will greatly improve the team provided the oft-injured righty stays healthy.  Harden is one of the best talents in baseball, but has yet to prove it consistenly on the field

Oakland RHP Rich Harden has landed on the DL again. Ok, so it wasn't so shocking. It was probably actually expected. This time he is on the shelf with a back strain, and who knows how long he'll be out. This time it's not an arm problem, but with how fragile this guy has been it would be wrong to count on him in real life and in fantasy.

Harden made two starts striking out 15 batters in just 11 innings while giving up just one run. If Harden could ever stay healthy long enough to stay on the field he'll be a prime candidate to be traded by
