What a wild and crazy week of games.  There were eight quarterbacks throwing for over 300 yards last weekend and Monday nights score fest provided a ton of drama in leagues everywhere. Hopefully you were the benefactor of all of the scoring.

Looking ahead to this weekend, there are a few more potential score fests and my first pick should be in line for another high scoring fantasy performance.

Start em if you got em

NFC North Offensive Lines: Vikings Stake Claim To Top Spot

The Minnesota Vikings may have made a big splash in the offseason by acquiring defensive lineman Jared Allen from Kansas City, but the team's biggest asset is on the offensive side of the ball. The Vikings are not only the top-rated offensive line in their conference and division, but they might very well be the best in the National Football League. With Adrian Peterson, an improving young quarterback in Tavaris Jackson and the addition of wide receiver Bernard Berrian, Minnesota is set to pillage and plunder opposing defensives. And without the

Favre could return, do the Packers want him?

When Brett Favre announced his retirement, I wrote this :

"A few days ago Favre was lobbying for the Packers to get Moss. Right after Moss signs with the Patriots, Favre announces he is retiring. If he is not retiring because of Moss, then why is the timing so convienent, and why was he on board with improving the 2008 Packers a few days ago? Personally I feel this decision was made based on emotion, and I don't think Favre is done for good. This Packers team is a team that can compete. Their defense is

One of the things I have enjoyed the most - as I have been going division to division offering up my early bird analysis - is reading your comments and hearing your assessment of the teams and divisions. You are educating me and helping me stay sharp. Just wanted to thank you for that.

For today's post I am going to take on the the division that is near and dear to my heart, the NFC North. Why is it near and dear you ask? Well my beloved Vikings are a part of this division.

I am going to look at this as objectively as possible BUT as you can imagine, it is almost impossible

I am going to keep this one short because I am betting you have read about ten other prediction just like this. It is just that I am 6 and 2 guessing the games in the playoffs so I might as well keep it rolling. Here you go.

Green Bay (-7) over New York

The Giants are a pesky group but I don’t see taking this one straight up. However, I can definitely see them covering. Regardless, it will be interesting considering that gametime temps are forecast at around 4 degrees.

There were some pretty surprising performances last week. Antwaan Randle El, Vincent Jackson and D.J. Hackett far exceeded expectations while usual studs like Plaxico Burress and Clinton Portis laid a freakin egg.

As for my sleepers selections last week, Shaun Alexander, Nate Keading and Jeremy Stevens didn’t work out as well as I thought. But, Shaun and Nate each have a legitimate shot at posting some solid numbers this week.

Hopefully you took my advice on Eli Manning, Chris Chambers and the Seattle defense. They all posted

Thursday Night Foooooooty

Hello football fans,

I know your as excited as I am that Thursday night football is once again here to make Thursdays actually meaningful. I love Thursday football, especially when its two teams that have had a full week to prepare for the game (I think they should have it all year long using the teams that are on the previous bye-week to play the next week on Thurs, but thats another blog). This weeks matchup promises to be a battle of two powerhouses which both have near guarenteed playoff clinches of homefield with a win.

What to Expect: While everyone will

I can’t believe that we are a week away from Thanksgiving already. Where does the time go?

Hopefully many of you are either in position for your leagues playoffs or are hanging tough. Keep your nose to the grindstone because there are always a few guys that jump onto the fantasy radar screen this time of year. With that said, lets see who I can dig up for you this week.

Start’em if you got’em

Here are some waiver wire and sleeper picks for you to check out. There are a ton of guys on my list because I play in some deeper leagues. I need to look a little deeper than most.

May be available now…
Chris Henry WR (CIN) - He’s back and he didn’t waste any time getting back in the action. 4 catches for 99 yards.

L.J. Smith TE (PHI) - 4 for 49 and a touchdown against Washington. He could be a forgotten man on your leagues waiver wire and could be

Seeing as how it is a big week for intra division rivalry games in the NFL - notably the Browns/Steelers game - I figured I would repost an article I did way back in July.

I was thinking of how things have change since July. When I wrote this it looked like another re-building year for the Browns but now that has changed big time. Not only do the Browns have an outside shot at the play-offs but I think they have a shot against the Steelers. No matter what happens, it will be a better game than it was in week one.

Anyway, here is the post in its entirety. Maybe it will conjure
