Missouri and Texas Tech square off in what should be one of the highest scoring entertaining games of the year. Both offenses rank in the top 5 nationally and neither has what you would call a shutdown defense. Chase Daniel and Graham Harrell should put up huge numbers slinging the ball all over the field. Only the first week of the season is in the books and I already have my fatal attraction back for college football.

Yes Michigan and Applachian State dominated the headlines, but there are several other schools who should be brought up on charges of contenders or pretenders.

 Contenders:

Cal showed against Tennessee that for the first game of the year they are the best team in the Pac-10.  Cal dominated on offense, defense and special teams and have the one item USC lacks, a playmaker.  See DeSean Jackson.  Last year he returned 20% of his returns for touchdowns
