The purpose of this article is not just to recap the NBA, but let you know the opportunity to get next season’s games at the current price is going away soon. AccuScore is giving you the chance to secure the 2009-10 NBA package for our current price of $350.00 The NBA is set to come back in November and while that seems a ways away, its closer than you think. If you decide to wait until fall, you will pay more than double our current prices. These economic times demand you take notice of the savings we are offering to make sure you have an easily obtainable profit margin.
AccuScore is raising prices in August 2009. For $350 you can access all sports (NFL, NCAAF, NBA, NCAAB, MLB, and NHL) through July 2010. That is over 10,000 games for $350. Many of you will use the logic that you want to save your money for the sports you are interested in, but if you wait too long you will end up paying at least twice as much. Many of you will also not want to pay for NBA or NHL betting when the seasons just ended and the next season will not start for months. Well, read our NBA and NHL season return recaps below. If you are a smart sports investor you will realize that you want to lock in the $350 rate now and ensure you can capitalize on the 2009-2010 seasons without having to pay for the increased rates.
NBA 2008-2009 RECAP
The 2008-2009 Recap was extremely successful. AccuScore’s total profits on point spreads and over/unders were a combined 1295-1145 (53.1%) +3550 units. This assumes +100 for every correct pick and -110 for every incorrect pick. Like all investments, profits are not consistently generated, and the chart below shows the volatility. Check out the plummet from 1800 in mid late January to virtually 0 a few weeks later, followed by an increase from -300 at the end of February to over +2000 in early March.
We assume a starting bankroll of 3,300 units which would be enough to bet 110 on every point spread and over/under in each team’s first game. Due to losses you would have needed to add an additional 1,200 units to the bankroll for a total of 4,500 units.
Off of a 4500 unit bankroll, AccuScore generated +3550 in profit for a 78.8% profit.
Just imagine if your stock portfolio was up 78% in 7 months.

AccuScore Winner’s Edge Members that used the Daily Line Report were able to generate even better profits. For example, as of January 1, 2009 AccuScore was performing poorly when the Home Team was favored by -6.0 or more. You can imagine that many of these games were blowouts where garbage time can really wreak havoc on a pick. On all other bets (home team favored by -5.5 or less and all over/under picks) AccuScore was over 57% accurate.

So this trend was clear after 2 months. Winner’s Edge members who stuck with this trend and avoided all point spreads where the home team was heavily favored, they would have won over 55% of their NBA bets by going 259-209 and generated +2910 in profit.

AccuScore was especially good at picking game winners this year. The team that won over 50% of simulations won 71.3% of the time. The team favored by Las Vegas oddsmakers and the betting public won just 69.8% of the time.
How much is +1.5 percentage points worth?
As good as point spread and over/under betting was in the NBA, our Side Value and Money Line wagering was even better with returns well over 150%.
NHL 2008-2009 RECAP
The 2008-2009 Recap was not successful based on AccuScore’s high standards. For example, after 2 months our Side Value system was down nearly -3000 units. If you add that to the 1,500 units you needed to start with you are already down -4,500 and probably hating life as an NHL bettor. However, post-Thanksgiving, AccuScore started getting hot.
It went from -2944 on 11/29 to a season ending profit of +1669. That is +4613 from 11/29 to 6/12.
The table below shows both the volatility and the overall profitability of NHL. Even with the early season losses you would have made a +1669 profit on an initial investment of 4500 units.
Even though NHL was highly disappointing to AccuScore, we still delivered a tremendous ROI that no other investment option (stock market, real estate, etc.) could have delivered in current economy.

Overall Money Line picking was also profitable. This is where you wager 100 units on every team that wins over 50% of simulations. The overall record was a solid 774-543, 58.8% and the return was +498.
