The biggest factor in college basketball and the NIT is home-court advantage.  The Wildcats are the “name” team, but the Bluejays are the better one and will be playing in front of its home crowd.  Creighton is favored in 57% of simulations by an average margin of 2.6 points.  Jodie Meeks and Patrick Patterson are both projected to score over 20 points for Kentucky, but no other player is projected for even 8.  Creighton doesn’t have the size to match Patterson inside, but it does have a more balanced and solid team overall particularly on the perimeter.
